DAILY READINGS & REFLECTIONS

 

SUNDAY

Cohort 2

  • Read through COMP pages in (Ho)mo-Reh Derekh (p. 11 & 15-59)
  • Reflect: What are some of the core learnings & questions you have about COMP? Which pieces feel most natural to you? Where are you noticing some edges?

Cohort 3

  • Reflect: Fill out the ‘gamirna’ section of your rubric. Pick three colors of stickers, one for each of the following (1) I’m excited to learn more about this! (2) I can do this! (3) I can teach someone else how to do this!
    • Go deeper: What does it feel like to read through this rubric? What does this process feel like? What feels most exciting as you move through this learning map?

MONDAY

Cohort 2

  • Reflect: Read through p. 15 of the (Ho)mo-Reh Derekh, “Building SVARA’s Culture.” Do the CULTURE reflection activity (reflection: my role in creating culture) on p. 21.
    • Go deeper: Call a friend, a chevruta, or a faculty member to unpack what came up for you! Take notes to share with your mentor.

 

Cohort 3

  • Reflect: Spend a bit more time on your own or with a comrade exploring the daf & masechet. What new things come up for you as you are digging in?
    • Go deeper: Read through pages 86-91 in the (Ho)mo-Reh Derekh for reinforcement!

TUESDAY

  • Read (well…skim) through the ‘Teaching Tachlis’ section of the (Ho)mo-Reh Derekh (p. 98-143)
  • Reflect: Fill out a Who/What/Where/When/Why for your practicum on p. 99 of the (Ho)mo-Reh Derekh

Cohort 3

  • Read: As we prepare to move into exploring historical layers & mapping out a sugya, skim through p. 68-72 of the (Ho)mo-Reh Derekh
  • Reflect: How does identifying historical layers of the text serve you in your learning? Why is this important to you?
